Indigenous Collaborations & Relationships

The Canadian Seaweed Industry Network (CSIN) recognizes the vital leadership and traditional knowledge of Indigenous Peoples in Canada’s coastal and marine environments. This hub highlights partnerships, projects, and dialogues that honour Indigenous stewardship and support equitable participation in the growing seaweed sector. Through collaboration, the CSIN aims to help strengthen community-led initiatives and build lasting, respectful relationships from coast to coast to coast.

Indigenous Works

The CSIN is exploring collaboration with Indigenous Works, a national organization dedicated to advancing Indigenous inclusion, partnership, and leadership across industries in Canada. Together, we aim to identify opportunities that support Indigenous participation and economic growth within the emerging seaweed sector. This relationship will help guide best practices for meaningful engagement, capacity building, and respectful collaboration.
